INTRODUCTION RULE OF LAW
Traditionally, the rule of law has been viewed as the domain of lawyers and judges. But everyday issues
of safety, rights, justice, and governance affect us all; everyone is a stakeholder when it comes to the Rule
of Law. World Justice Project - https://worldjusticeproject.org published a report 2017-18 for 113
countries and their status on Rule of Law with below 8 factors/parameters

1. Students will be able to understand the Rule of Law from a global perspective
2. Students will be able to analyze the status of India with regards to the Rule of Law
3. Students will be able to critically analyze the indicators associated with the Rule of Law and can
think of ways to improve the same as future citizens.

My Opinion - This is higher because India’s constitution provided us the freedom of speech in its
constitution and we are free to express our opinion and views in public

India’s Score - 0.42
My Opinion This is low because many times it was found that judicial system and processes are
biased towards some powerful people and causing undue delay in common man’s cases.
